Ep 1. Tigtone and the Seven-Headed Serpent of Kloom

Tigtone is a fantasy animated sitcom that takes on the genre with a biting sense of humor, satirizing the conventions of high fantasy while still giving fans the epic quests and monsters they crave. The show follows the titular Tigtone, a bumbling and often clueless warrior who stops at nothing to complete his quests, often causing more problems than he solves.

In season 2 episode 1, entitled Tigtone and the Seven-Headed Serpent of Kloom, the hero is tasked with defeating the titular monster and retrieving its scales, which can be used as a powerful weapon. Along for the ride are the ever-present Helpy, a living, disembodied hand that aids Tigtone in his adventures, and Tigtone's loyal steed, the oversized, talking iguana, who delivers some of the episode's best laughs.

The episode features plenty of the over-the-top violence that the show is becoming known for, including one memorable scene where Tigtone takes on a head by punching through it, then reaching inside its mouth to grab its tongue and use it as a makeshift club. But the real highlight is the humor, which ranges from the absurd (like a running gag about Tigtone's terrible rhyming skills) to the dark (one character has a backstory involving childhood trauma that is played for laughs in an unexpected way).

In the end, of course, Tigtone triumphs, though not without consequences. Like many great fantasy epics, the hero's victory comes at a cost, and Tigtone is left to ponder the price of his success as the episode draws to a close.

Overall, Tigtone and the Seven-Headed Serpent of Kloom is a strong start to the show's second season. The animation is bright and colorful, the action is fast-paced and exciting, and the humor is as sharp as ever. Fans of the first season will find plenty to love here, while newcomers will have no trouble jumping in on the fun.
