After serving seven years in prison, Hugo Beltrán is finally released and eager to restart his life. He is branded a "toy boy" - a derogatory term for young, attractive men who become entangled with wealthy older women - after being wrongfully convicted of the murder of a wealthy businesswoman named Macarena Medina. Now he's back in Málaga, Spain where he spent his early years, and he's determined to prove his innocence and clear his name.

As he tries to adjust to life on the outside, Hugo discovers that his ex-girlfriend Andrea, who testified against him in court, is now married to one of the main witnesses in his case. He also reconnects with his childhood friend and former flame Triana, who is now an investigator for a law firm in the city. Despite their complicated history, Triana agrees to help Hugo with his case and they team up to uncover the truth about what really happened to Macarena.

Their investigation leads them to a seedy nightclub where they meet Macarena's former business partner, Iván. He reveals that Macarena was involved in some shady business deals and had made many enemies, including a powerful politician and a rival businesswoman. Hugo and Triana soon realize that there were many people with motives to kill Macarena, and they begin to suspect that the true culprit may still be at large.

Meanwhile, Hugo is forced to make ends meet by working as a stripper at the nightclub. He catches the eye of Macarena's daughter, Claudia, who is drawn to him both because of his good looks and his connection to her mother's case. Claudia hires Hugo to be her personal driver and bodyguard, much to the chagrin of her stepfather, who suspects that Hugo may be up to no good.

As the investigation heats up, Hugo and Triana become increasingly entangled in a web of lies, deceit, and danger. They must navigate their way through the complicated world of Málaga's wealthy elites to uncover the truth about Macarena's murder and clear Hugo's name once and for all.
