Ep 4. Blob Gets a Job

In Ugly Americans season 1 episode 4, entitled "Blob Gets a Job," Mark and Randall go on a double date with Callie and Twayne. Meanwhile, Mark's roommate, the shape-shifting blob, struggles to find a job and ultimately decides to work at a strip club.

As Mark and Randall prepare for their big night out, Callie convinces Twayne to join them and make it a double date. However, Twayne is hesitant to leave the safety of his office and is quickly overwhelmed by the sights and sounds of the city.

Back at the apartment, the blob is feeling down about his unemployment and is convinced by his friend Leonard to try his luck at a strip club. Despite Mark's objections, the blob begins his new job and quickly becomes a hit with the crowd, arousing jealousy in his fellow dancers.

As the night wears on, Mark and Randall's double date starts to unravel as they become increasingly preoccupied with their own issues. Twayne struggles with the concept of casual conversation, Mark becomes obsessed with the idea of being an "alpha male," and Callie finds herself attracted to a mysterious stranger.

Meanwhile, the blob's newfound success as a stripper begins to take a toll on his personal life as he becomes increasingly isolated from his friends and roommate. When Mark discovers the truth about the blob's job, he is shocked and disappointed, but ultimately comes to embrace his friend's unconventional career choice.

In the end, the double date ends in disaster as everyone goes their separate ways. Twayne retreats to his office, Mark and Randall engage in a drunken brawl, and Callie is left alone on the streets of New York. As for the blob, he decides to quit his job and return to his old life, realizing that friendship is more important than anything else.
