Full Metal Panic Fomoffu is a light-hearted spinoff of the anime series Full Metal Panic. The show once again follows the adventures of popular high school girl Chidori and her secret undercover agent bodyguard Sousuke. Fomoffu abandons the serious action-packed tone of the original in favor of a more comedic and romantic feeling. Sousuke is a complete fish out of water in Chidori’s world and often goes overboard in his protection of Chidori. Sousuke’s secret agent training proves to be poor preparation for the many trials and tribulations in the life of a teenage girl. Somehow, in the midst of karate duels, haunted hospitals, and amusement park mascot disguises, the two oddly paired teenagers end up developing a sweet “opposites attract” romance. The show also serves to fill the gap between the original series and Full Metal Panic The Second Raid.
