Thorfinn is a servant now. He spends his days hauling crates from one side of the harbor to the other, beaten and bruised by his overseers. His nights are spent in a dank, dark cell, where he dreams of his past and struggles with his present. He misses his home and his family, but most of all he misses his purpose.
One day, Thorfinn overhears a conversation that changes everything. The son of his slave master, Ketil, is plotting against his father and intends to take control of the family business. Thorfinn sees an opportunity to escape his current situation and aligns himself with the young Ketil.
Ketil offers Thorfinn a deal – help him overthrow his father, and he'll set Thorfinn free. Thorfinn agrees without hesitation and begins to plot his revenge. But as he spends more time with Ketil, he realizes that the young man is in over his head. He's not as strong or as capable as he thinks he is, and his plans for his father are reckless and doomed to fail.
Thorfinn tries to reason with Ketil, to convince him to abandon his plans and seek a peaceful resolution with his father. But Ketil is too stubborn and too consumed by his own selfish desires. He refuses to listen to reason and presses onward with his plot.
As the day of the rebellion draws near, Thorfinn begins to prepare himself for battle. He trains relentlessly, honing his skills and preparing himself for the inevitable fight. But deep down, he knows that his true purpose is not to fight for Ketil's cause – it's to find a way back to his own.
The day of the rebellion arrives, and chaos erupts in the Ketil household. Thorfinn fights alongside Ketil's men, battling his way through the house and towards the heart of the conflict. But as he fights, he realizes that he's not fighting for Ketil – he's fighting for himself. He's fighting to reclaim his own identity and his own destiny.
In the end, the rebellion fails. Ketil is captured and Thorfinn is once again left with nothing. But this time, he's changed. He's no longer a servant, no longer a slave. He's a warrior, with a purpose and a goal. He's determined to find his way back to his home and his people, and nothing will stand in his way.
As the episode ends, Thorfinn stands alone in the cold, dark courtyard of the Ketil estate. He looks up at the sky, takes a deep breath, and sets his sights on his future. For the first time in a long time, he feels a spark of hope – hope that someday he'll find his way back to his true purpose, to his true home.
