Thorfinn, the young Viking warrior, has brought destruction and death to every corner of England in search of Askeladd, the man who killed his father. After months of searching, he finally finds his enemy in London, where a fierce battle is about to take place on London Bridge.
The episode begins with Thorfinn, still recovering from his injuries, watching as Askeladd and his men prepare for the upcoming battle. As he looks on, memories of his father's death come flooding back, fueling his desire for revenge.
Meanwhile, Canute and the rest of the Danish army have arrived in London, eager to assert their dominance over the English. Canute is introduced to the English Queen, who pleads for him to spare her people. Canute appears to be moved by her words, but his advisor, Ragnar, convinces him to continue the attack.
Back on the bridge, the battle has begun, and it quickly becomes clear that the English are no match for the skilled Viking warriors. Askeladd leads his men with precision and cunning, effortlessly cutting down any English soldiers who dare to challenge them.
Thorfinn, still consumed by his desire for revenge, charges into battle without a second thought. Despite his injuries, he is still a formidable warrior, and he proves it as he takes on Askeladd's men single-handedly.
As the battle rages on, it becomes clear that the English are losing badly. Canute, watching from afar, realizes that he must take action if he wants to avoid further bloodshed. He rides out onto the bridge, where he encounters Thorfinn.
The two warriors face off, their swords at the ready. Thorfinn is eager to kill Canute, seeing him as nothing more than an obstacle in his quest for revenge. Canute, however, has other plans. He tries to reason with Thorfinn, telling him that their fight is pointless and that they should work together to end the violence.
Thorfinn is initially skeptical, but as he watches Canute's men begin to retreat, he realizes that he has little choice but to listen. He lowers his sword, and the two warriors shake hands, bringing an end to the battle.
The episode ends with Thorfinn reflecting on the events of the day. Though he still longs for revenge, he realizes that he cannot do it alone. He knows that he must find a way to work with Canute if he wants to achieve his goals. It remains to be seen whether the two warriors can set aside their differences and work together, but for now, the Battle of London Bridge is over.
