Nancy Botwin finds herself in a bit of a sticky situation when she realizes that her son Silas has started dealing weed as well. She's torn between feeling proud of her son for following in her footsteps and wanting to protect him from the dangers of the illegal drug industry. Meanwhile, her youngest son Shane is struggling to cope with his father's death, and is lashing out in bizarre and alarming ways.

In "Fashion of the Christ," Nancy attends a charity dinner with her friend, the eccentric and wealthy Celia Hodes. She's hoping to network and find new clients, but things take a strange turn when a group of nuns crashes the event. The sisters are raising money for a convent, and they've pulled out all the stops to make a memorable impression. They're clad in outrageous, homemade outfits that combine traditional religious garb with modern fashion trends, and they've even brought along a giant, glittery cross as a visual aid.

Nancy can't help but be drawn to the nuns' charisma and energy, and she strikes up a conversation with one of the younger sisters. The nun, who introduces herself as Sister Agnes, is charming and witty, and she seems genuinely interested in Nancy's line of work. Nancy hedges her bets a bit, not wanting to come right out and say that she's a drug dealer, but Sister Agnes seems to pick up on the subtext.

As the night wears on, Nancy and Celia become increasingly intoxicated, and they start to become more and more entwined with the nuns' cause. They bid on a silent auction item, a painting by a young artist who has been taken under the wing of Sister Agnes, and they wind up paying much more than they'd intended. They also make a large donation to the convent's fundraising campaign, which leads to some awkward questions from Celia's skeptical husband.

The next day, Nancy gets a call from Sister Agnes, who invites her to lunch to discuss a potential business opportunity. Nancy is intrigued, but also wary, knowing that the Catholic Church has historically been opposed to drug use. She meets with Sister Agnes and another nun, Sister Maria Theresa, at a local diner, where they explain their plan: they want to start a hemp farm on the convent's property, using the non-psychoactive part of the plant to make clothing and other products. They've done their research and believe that hemp could be a profitable and sustainable crop, and they want Nancy to provide the seed money and expertise.

Nancy is torn. On the one hand, she sees the appeal of using her skills to help a good cause and potentially making a lot of money in the process. On the other hand, she knows that getting involved with a religious organization could be a recipe for disaster, particularly given the scrutiny she's already under from the DEA. She decides to sleep on it.

That night, Nancy has a strange dream in which she meets with her deceased husband, Judah. He tells her that she needs to be careful, and that getting involved with the convent could lead to something dangerous. Nancy wakes up feeling uneasy, but she can't shake the feeling that this could be a life-changing opportunity.

The episode ends on a cliffhanger, as Nancy prepares to meet with the nuns again and make a decision. She knows that whatever she chooses, there will be consequences, and she's not sure she's ready to face them.
