Ep 14. Protection

Nancy is getting her business together in preparation for the possibility that she may be arrested. She decides to store all of her drug-related items and money at Guillermo's factory, since it has proven to be a safe location for her in the past. She meets with U-Turn and his henchmen, who offer her "protection" in exchange for a cut of her profits. Nancy refuses their offer but takes a card with their phone number just in case.

Meanwhile, Celia finds out that her daughter Quinn has been stealing money from her and confronts her. Quinn reveals that she has been buying weed from Heylia and insists that she needs it to deal with her depression. Celia goes to Heylia's house and demands that she stop selling weed to her daughter. Heylia is frustrated with Nancy for not providing her with enough product to sell and tells Celia that she will not stop selling to Quinn since Nancy is her main supplier.

At the same time, Shane becomes increasingly worried about the safety of his family and decides that they need protection. He enlists Andy's help in finding a gun to protect them, but Andy is reluctant to get involved. Shane ends up stealing a gun from Nancy's stash at home, but is caught by Silas, who is worried about the danger that a gun could bring.

As the episode progresses, Nancy begins to realize the extent of the danger that she is in. She receives a threatening call from U-Turn, who tells her that he is coming to take over her business if she doesn't pay him. She tells Guillermo about her concerns and he sets her up with a meeting with a powerful contact who can help her. While at the meeting, she learns that the person she is meeting with is actually a DEA agent who is conducting an investigation into her activities.

In the midst of all of this chaos, Esteban pays Nancy a surprise visit. He tells her that she must disappear for a while to avoid being arrested, but promises to protect her and her family in exchange for her help with a side project. Nancy reluctantly agrees, but tells Guillermo about Esteban's request so that he can keep an eye on her family in case anything happens.

As the episode comes to a close, Nancy packs up her things and prepares to leave town. Shane decides to stay behind with Andy, Silas, and Doug to protect the family while she is gone. Just as she is about to leave, Guillermo tells her that the DEA has raided his factory and taken all of her belongings. Nancy is left with nothing and has no choice but to turn to U-Turn for protection.
