Ep 2. Boys' Club

In the second episode of season two of What I Like About You entitled "Boys' Club," Holly and Val's brother, Vic, comes to town for a visit. However, Holly notices that Vic is only interested in hanging out with Vince and Gary, Holly's former boyfriends. Feeling left out and like she needs to prove her worth as a girl, Holly decides to join in on their boys' club activities.

As the episode progresses, Holly learns what it really means to be "one of the guys" and tries to keep up with the group as they go out drinking and play pool. But Holly quickly realizes that she doesn't fit in with the boys as much as she thought. She struggles to find common ground with them and keep up with their antics, leading to some awkward and embarrassing moments.

Meanwhile, Val is dealing with some workplace drama when her boss, Lauren, announces that she's pregnant and going on maternity leave. Lauren puts Val in charge of training her replacement, which proves to be a difficult task. The new employee, Lulu, is extremely high maintenance and Val struggles to keep her happy while also maintaining her own workload.

As Holly continues to try and impress the boys, she realizes that she needs to be true to herself and embrace her femininity. She bonds with a group of women at a bar, including a feminist writer who encourages Holly to be comfortable in her own skin. Holly ultimately learns that being herself is what makes her unique and special, and she doesn't need to conform to fit in with the boys.

Meanwhile, Val finds herself in a difficult situation at work when Lulu quits unexpectedly. Lauren asks Val to step in and take over Lulu's responsibilities, which Val initially resists. But after some encouragement from Holly, Val decides to take on the challenge and prove to Lauren that she's capable of handling the added workload.

By the end of the episode, Holly has found a newfound confidence in herself and Val has proven herself at work. The girls realize that they don't need to conform to others' expectations to be successful and happy. Overall, "Boys' Club" explores themes of gender roles and workplace dynamics while also showcasing the strong bond between Holly and Val.
