Ep 13. Don't Kiss The Messenger

In season 3 episode 13 of What I Like About You titled "Don't Kiss The Messenger," Holly receives an unexpected email from her ex-boyfriend, Kevin. He writes that he wants to meet up with her to catch up on old times. She is hesitant to go but ultimately decides to take the leap and see what it could lead to.

Meanwhile, Val is ecstatic to have a new boyfriend, Ross, in her life. She becomes obsessed with spending time with him and can't seem to get enough of him. However, things take a turn when she assumes he's asking her to move in with him, only to discover he meant he was looking for a new roommate.

As Holly prepares for her meeting with Kevin, she discovers he has a girlfriend and quickly realizes she is still hung up on him. She confides in her best friend, Val, who tries to help her move on. Val suggests they create a "break-up box" for Holly to let go of all her memorabilia from past relationships.

Holly begins to realize that she has been living in the past, holding onto old relationships, and not allowing herself to move forward. She decides to meet up with Kevin and tells him how she feels, ending things on her own terms and freeing herself of the past.

Meanwhile, Val struggles with her newfound single life, feeling lost without Ross by her side. She realizes that she's been neglecting the important things like her job and friendships. Val also comes to the conclusion that she doesn't need a man to be happy in life. She decides to focus on herself and her goals before getting into another relationship.

In the end, Holly and Val find themselves in a better place, happy with the decisions they have made. They continue to support each other as they navigate through life, love, and everything in between.
