"Whites" is a BBC comedy sitcom written by Oliver Lansley and Matt King, and directed by David Kerr. The show depicts the fictional lives of workers in a kitchen at a country house hotel. The show stars Alan Davies as the apathetic Roland White who is the chef of the White House Hotel. Roland shirks many of his duties as chef, and as a result his other coworkers are responsible for attending to his unfinished work. Darren Boyd plays the loyal Bib who is Roland's second in command. Bib is extremely hardworking, and always willing to stay by his friend Roland's side. Katharine Parkinson is Caroline, the White House Hotel's restaurant manager. Both Caroline and Bib feel pressured to do much of the lazy Roland's job, coupled with Skoose (Stephen White), an apprentice chef scheming for Bib's job, the clumsy waitress Keke (Isy Suttie) and hotel owner Celia (Maggie Steed).
