In season 12, episode 4 of "Who Do You Think You Are?", actor Zachary Levi journeys to France and learns about his ancestors' experiences during World War II. Levi begins his journey in Paris, where he meets with historian Hélène Gédouin at the Resistance museum, and learns about the history of the French Resistance. Gédouin explains how difficult it is to find records of Resistance fighters, as many documents were destroyed during the war, but Levi is determined to find out more.

Levi travels to Masson's hometown of Lille, where he meets with historian Bernard Fournier. Fournier shows Levi documents proving that Masson was a member of the Resistance, and that he had been arrested and interrogated by the Gestapo. Levi is shocked to learn that his grandfather was subjected to torture, but inspired by his bravery.

The actor then travels to Strasbourg, to meet with historian Laurène Curtet. Curtet explains how the French Resistance was organized and how they operated during the war. She shows Levi an underground printing press that had been used by Resistance members to publish anti-Nazi articles, and he is surprised to see his grandfather's name on one of the documents.

Levi then heads to Paris to learn more about his paternal ancestors. He meets with historian Isabelle Compin, who shows him records of his great-grandfather's service in the French Army during World War I. Levi is moved to see photos of his great-grandfather in uniform, and Compin explains how his service affected his family's history.

Finally, Levi meets with genealogist Stéphane Cosson at the Archives Nationales, where he finds records of his ancestors dating back to the 1700s. Cosson explains how to interpret the records and shows Levi some surprising family connections.

Overall, this episode of "Who Do You Think You Are?" is an emotional journey for Zachary Levi, as he learns about his family's history and the sacrifices his ancestors made during World War II.
