Rashida is also curious about her great-grandfather and sets out to find more information on him.

Her journey takes her to Chicago, where she meets with a genealogist who helps her trace the life of her great-grandfather, Frank Jones. Rashida learns that Frank was a prominent businessman in Chicago's South Side during the early 1900s. He owned a string of successful businesses and was involved in civil rights activism in the city.

Rashida is impressed by her great-grandfather's achievements and wants to know more about his origins. She travels to Italy to see if she can find any records of her Italian ancestors. Along the way, she learns about Italian immigration to the United States in the late 19th and early 20th centuries.

Rashida's search leads her to a small village in Italy, where she discovers that her great-great-grandmother was a widow who left Italy with her children to start a new life in America. Rashida is touched by her ancestors' perseverance and the sacrifices they made to provide a better life for their families.

Finally, Rashida returns to Chicago to learn more about her great-grandfather's involvement in civil rights activism. She visits the Chicago Defender, the newspaper where her grandfather worked, and speaks with a historian who helps her understand the impact of the newspaper on African American life during the early 20th century.

In the end, Rashida is proud of her family's history and the accomplishments of her ancestors. She feels a deeper connection to her roots and a greater sense of responsibility to honor their legacy.
