Watch Wild Things With Dominic Monaghan

"Wild Things with Dominic Monaghan" is the program that takes a look into the natural world of wildlife on Earth. British host Dominic Monaghan explores the many different wildlife habitats around the world, as he explains how many animals and insects survive in their natural environments. From the arid deserts of Africa to the humid jungles of Asia, Dominic is the viewer's guide to many extraordinary creatures that inhabit our world. Observing wildlife has many challenges, including aggressive predators, venomous creatures and unpredictable weather. Through it all Dominic Monaghan is doing his very best to make the public aware of not only of wildlife, but also the conservation of wildlife habitats.

Encountering many of the world's finest specimens of wildlife and treating it with the utmost respect is the goal of the program. Taking what Dominic learned from his father, a teacher and biologist who taught him how to properly handle many different species of wildlife, Dominic takes a film crew to many exotic locations around the world to look for animals and insects. Viewers at home can see first hand the ecosystems that make up many of the wildlife habitats in Africa, Asia, Australia, North America and South America.

Dominic also explains that certain insects are avid hunters, including many species of spiders. One of the most notable of the hunting spider species is the Giant Huntsman Spider that lives in the Mekong River region of Laos in Southeast Asia. Another creature that lives in the region is the venomous Green Tree Viper that lives in the green leaves of local trees for camoflage. On the show's website there are many photos of the creatures that Dominic has safely encountered in his travels across the globe during this season.
