As the title suggests, "Bloody Resolve" is another unrelentingly intense episode of WWII in HD that showcases a pivotal moment in the global struggle. The episode explores how it was that the Allies were able to launch the largest amphibious invasion in history on June 6th, 1944, known as D-Day.

With the year already 1944, the Allies knew they had to make a move, and there was no time to waste. General Marshall came up with a plan to launch a dual attack against France, with one force coming from North Africa and the other from England. But in order for the second force to have any chance of success, the Germans had to be convinced that the amphibious assault would be coming from a different location.

Throughout the episode, we see some of the key players involved, including General Eisenhower, who is responsible for the overall strategy of the operation; General Montgomery, who is tasked with leading the ground troops; and General Patton, who is portrayed as a bit of a wild card, but nevertheless a highly effective commander.

We also hear from some of the soldiers who were there on that fateful day, and through their accounts and the use of actual footage from the era, we get a sense of just how truly brutal and deadly the fighting was.

The episode also touches on some of the key strategic decisions that were made in the run-up to the invasion. For example, there was a heated debate among the military leaders over whether they should launch the invasion in broad daylight, or wait for darkness to provide some cover. In the end, they opted to go with daylight, reasoning that it would be easier for the paratroopers to accomplish their objectives under cover of darkness, and they could land their troops before the German coastal defenses had a chance to fully mobilize.

But despite all the meticulous planning and careful execution, nothing could fully prepare the troops for what they would encounter once they hit the beaches. The Germans had been fortifying their positions for months, and the Allied forces were met with a withering barrage of gunfire once they hit the shore.

The episode doesn't hold back in its portrayal of the sheer brutality of the fighting, and it's clear that this was not a battle for the faint of heart. But throughout it all, we see the soldiers displaying incredible courage and determination, often risking their own lives to help their comrades.

"Bloody Resolve" is a powerful reminder of the sacrifices that were made during one of the most pivotal moments in modern history. And while it's easy to look back and second-guess some of the decisions that were made, it's clear that the people involved were doing the best they could under incredibly difficult circumstances.

Overall, this episode is an intense, gripping, and often harrowing look at one of the defining moments of WWII, and it's a compelling testament to the bravery of those who fought and died for what they believed in.
