Ep 23. And the Free Money

However, their plan goes awry when the man returns, leaving the girls with a backpack full of monopoly money instead of real cash. They are forced to flee the scene, leaving behind the fake money.

With their latest attempt to secure funding for their business being a total failure, Caroline and Max resort to selling Max's cupcake recipe to a famous bakery in the city. Despite having a great opportunity, the duo hesitates, knowing they want to keep their business afloat.

In the midst of their struggles, Caroline sees a sign in the bank advertising a contest with the grand prize money equal to the exact amount they owe on Caroline's father's loan. After some brainstorming, they come up with a concept and enter the contest in the hopes of winning the big money.

Throughout the episode, Sophie, Oleg, and Earl's subplot includes planning a surprise party for Caroline's birthday party. Surprisingly, Caroline's angry father shows up at the party and demands Caroline pays the loan of $25,000, resulting in a messy confrontation.
