Four Army wives, Claudia Joy Holden, Roxanne Ferrari, Denise Sherwood, and Pamela Moran, and Roland Burton, a psychiatrist and the husband of a deployed soldier, navigate the challenges of their lives on the Fort Marshall Army base in South Carolina.

In the first episode of the second season, titled "Would You Know My Name," the Army wives are dealing with the aftermath of the bus explosion that occurred at the end of season one. The explosion has left some soldiers dead and others wounded, and the base is in mourning.

Claudia Joy, the wife of the base commander, is struggling to keep things together. She is trying to support her husband as he deals with the aftermath of the explosion while also dealing with personal issues of her own. She is worried about her son having to deploy to Iraq and is also dealing with her mother-in-law, who has Alzheimer's and is becoming increasingly difficult to manage.

Roxanne Ferrari, the wife of a soldier who was on the bus during the explosion, is devastated by the loss of her husband. She is trying to cope with her grief while also adjusting to life as a single mother. She is having trouble focusing on her job as a nurse and is struggling to take care of her daughter.

Denise Sherwood, the wife of a soldier who was injured in the explosion, is struggling to balance taking care of her husband and their children while also managing her job as a social worker. She is feeling overwhelmed and is worried about the future of their family.

Pamela Moran, the wife of a soldier who was not on the bus during the explosion, is dealing with the aftermath of her affair with a civilian contractor. She is worried that her husband will find out and that their marriage will be over. She is also struggling to connect with her children and is feeling guilty for neglecting them.

Roland Burton, the base psychiatrist, is doing his best to support the Army wives as they navigate the challenges of their lives. He is also dealing with personal issues of his own, including his wife's deployment and his son's struggle with dyslexia.

Throughout the episode, the Army wives come together to support one another and help each other through their struggles. They attend the funerals of the soldiers who died in the explosion, visit the wounded soldiers in the hospital, and come together for a barbecue to show their support for one another.

While the episode is emotional and deals with heavy subject matter, it also showcases the strength and resilience of the Army wives. They are strong women who are capable of handling anything that comes their way, whether it's grief, infidelity, or the challenges of military life.

Overall, "Would You Know My Name" is a powerful episode that sets the stage for the rest of the season. It shows the Army wives coming together to support one another in the face of tragedy and showcases the challenges that they must overcome as military families.
