Ep 12. The Grass is Always Greener

Cory Matthews and his best friend Shawn Hunter in Boy Meets World Season 3 Episode 12, titled "The Grass is Always Greener," are curious about what it would be like to live in other people's lives. The episode begins when the two boys discuss the topic during class, and Mr. Feeny overhears them. He sees an opportunity to teach them a valuable lesson about perception and life's simple pleasures. Cory is convinced that life would be easy and fun if he had Topanga's popularity and good looks.

The next day, Cory and Shawn switch lives with their desired partners and quickly discover that things are not what they seem. As Shawn takes on Eric's life, he soon realizes that it's not as perfect as he imagined it to be. Eric is struggling with school, and girls find him boring despite his charm and good looks. As a result, Eric is feeling lost and unsure of his future. Shawn begins to understand that life is not all about appearances and that there is more to a person than meets the eye.

Meanwhile, Cory finds out that Topanga's life is not as simple as he thought. She is under immense pressure to maintain her popularity and has to deal with jealous girls who try to bring her down. Cory quickly realizes that popularity comes at a price, and he begins to appreciate the simple life he has.

As the day progresses, Cory and Shawn realize that they should cherish their lives for what they are and that the grass is not always greener on the other side. They realize that it's important to appreciate what they have and to work towards making their lives better instead of wishing for someone else's.

In the end, Mr. Feeny is pleased with how his students have interpreted the assignment. He reminds them that they are fortunate to have each other and to be able to learn from one another. The episode ends with Cory and Shawn returning to their normal lives, grateful for the small things in life that they had taken for granted before.
