Caribbean Workout is a fitness television show that is one of the longest running and most widely viewed in the world. It is hosted by Shelly McDonald and she is accompanied by two background exercisers. The goal of the program is to teach viewers how to incorporate exercise and fitness into their everyday lives. The show focuses on circuit training, with the host and her models doing both high and low impact moves.

Each half an hour episode is taped in the Caribbean. The series picks a different island every season to film on. The women perform their moves with beautiful beaches or pools as the background.

The workouts are designed to be easy to learn how to do, yet strenuous on the viewers' muscles. Shelly often shows two different ways to make the moves so if the viewer does not want to do the high impact moves, they can opt for the lower ones. In addition to the circuit training, Shelly also incorporates some strength training moves in her routines. She also teaches exercises that are directed towards toning one's body.

Each episode focuses on a different skill set. In one episode, they focus on step routines which help boost the exercisers' glutes and leg muscle. In another episode, Shelly focuses on a sculpting routine which helps lead to an overall toned look. Still another episode has her deal with urban rebounding moves. Pilates is another popular routine that Shelly incorporates in some of the episodes. She even does ballet workout episodes which are geared towards getting a muscular, but lean, look. Over time, the viewer is expected to notice a reduction of fat in the body as well as an overall improved muscle tone.
