Criminal Minds is a television show about an elite team of FBI agents working out of the Behavioral Analysis Unit. The team is based in Washington D.C., but they travel all over the country in their private plane to hunt down serial killers. New episodes of Criminal Minds air Wednesday nights on CBS during the fall and spring seasons.

The Criminal Minds team is composed of four men and three women. Each member of the team uses their own unique talents to excel out in the field.

Aaron Hotchner is the leader of the team. Hotchner, commonly referred to as "Hotch", avoids showing emotion and always remains calm to keep the team under control. Derek Morgan is the hand to hand combat fighter of the group. Morgan, a former college football player and Chicago cop, is the highest skilled and trained fighter in the BAU.

Jennifer Jareau is a criminal profiler that also serves as the team's media coordinator. J.J.'s most important responsibility is controlling what information the media knows and releases, which is very useful because in many cases the BAU communicates to the killer through the media. Doctor Spencer Reed is the genius of the group. He holds 3 PhDs, several other degrees, and graduated from high school at the age of 12.

Super Special Agent David Rossi is the oldest and most experienced member of the team. He was one of the team's original founders and although he retired for a few years, he is back to being a full time member of the BAU. Penelope Garcia is a computer technician for the FBI. She is also a hacker, meaning that she uses both the FBI's technology and her computer skills to help the BAU find the criminals they are looking for. Emily Prentiss formally worked at Interpol, but now works with the FBI. She has a colorful past in terms of the high risk, undercover work she has done.

Jennifer Love Hewitt Pregnant with Second Child

It's going to be another big year for Jennifer Love Hewitt! The "Criminal Minds" star has confirmed that she's pregnant with her second child with husband Brian Hallisay, according to E! News. "Jennifer and Brian are thrilled to be expecting their second child later this year," her rep said in a statement. The couple married in a secret ceremony back in 2013, but we learned later that Hewitt was actually pregnant during the wedding. For a while, though, Hewitt didn't tell anyone that she was expecting, which caused some problems with the wardrobe department on her show.

Jennifer Love Hewitt Joins 'Criminal Minds'

That Jennifer Love Hewitt seems to pop up everywhere. The star of "Ghost Whisperer" and "The Client List" will now be joining the cast of CBS' "Criminal Minds." In the show, which follows a highly specialized band of FBI agents as they track serial killers, Hewitt will be playinng a character by the name of Kate Callahan. USA Today describes her character as "a seasoned undercover agent who joins the Behavioral Analysis Unit, which investigates the most twisted of crimes.
