Ep 4. Dong Yi 4

Dong Yi 4 continues the journey of Dong Yi, a young slave girl who is now serving at the royal palace. In this episode, Dong Yi has caught the attention of the Queen Mother, who has requested that Dong Yi embroider a scarf for her. Despite her lack of experience, Dong Yi impresses the Queen Mother with her skill and is given the opportunity to continue embroidering for the royals.

Meanwhile, the crown prince, Yeoning, is still struggling with his studies and has been assigned a tutor, but he is not making much progress. Dong Yi offers to help him study and Yeoning is able to improve with her guidance. However, their interactions do not go unnoticed and Dong Yi receives a warning from the head court lady to stay away from the prince.

At the same time, the political situation at the palace is becoming increasingly tense as factions form to gain power. The Queen Dowager, who rules behind the scenes, is concerned about her declining influence and seeks to ally with the powerful Jang family. But her plan is opposed by the Minister of War and his allies, who fear the Jangs would become too powerful and challenge their own authority.

With tensions rising and alliances shifting, Dong Yi finds herself caught in the middle of palace politics. She must navigate the treacherous waters of the royal court while continuing to pursue her own goals and ambitions.
