Haruka is still struggling with his love for swimming and what it means for his future. As the swim team prepares for the upcoming competition, tensions rise between the members as personal issues come to light. Rin confronts Haruka about his apathy towards swimming, but Haruka remains closed off and unresponsive. Meanwhile, Nagisa and Makoto work on their synchronicity in the relay, but encounter difficulties when they disagree on how to approach the race. As the pressure builds and the stakes get higher, the Iwatobi Swim Club must learn to overcome their individual conflicts and work together as a team if they hope to succeed.
