A compelling story of love, adventure and drama are the words that describe this amazing anime. As there are many contradictions life is hard for the main character Mitsuki Kouyama, her grandmother doesn't fancy her career choice and she is an orphan, and if this wasn't enough two shinigamis are now telling her that she only has one year to live. With only one goal in her head of becoming a great singer she runs away from home and later asks the male shinigami to please help her fulfill her dream and he gladly accepts as long as she leaves without problems form the world of the living when the time comes. The viewer later learns that she does all this out of profound love towards her childhood friend Eichi Sakurai.

The television series is based on a manga of the same title but since the manga continued after the series ended they have different ending plots. It was produced by Nihon Ad Systems and is licensed in North America by Viz Media. The graphics of the anime were spectacular and beautiful. The soundtracks aided a lot to set the mood and played a major part since the goal of the main protagonist is to be a great singer. As the story develops the viewer learns how far people are willing to go to reach their goals and express their loves toward their love interest. The viewer sees that even after two years the promise made between Eichi and Mitsuki is still valid for them and that to fulfill that promise Mitsuki will even hide her real identity and change her name to Fullmoon.

This is great series for all ages and will be great for anyone interested in romance and drama gender anime as this series is full of it around every corner that will leave the viewers in outer suspense and desiring for more as the episodes transition smoothly from on to the next.
