Ep 12. Of Mouse and Man

Of Mouse and Man is the twelfth episode of the second season of Hill Street Blues. In it, the Hill Street precinct faces a busy night of crime-fighting, starting with a robbery at a liquor store that leaves one of the robbers injured. Meanwhile, a man named Louie the Light is brought in for questioning about the murder of a local mobster, but refuses to speak to anyone other than detective Phil Esterhaus.

As the night goes on, the detectives try to piece together the events leading up to the liquor store robbery, while also dealing with a potential outbreak of a deadly virus in the precinct's holding cells. Meanwhile, Louie the Light keeps insisting that he can only talk to Esterhaus, causing tension among the other detectives who feel left out.

Elsewhere in the precinct, a rookie cop named Joe Coffey struggles with the stress of the job, especially after witnessing a brutal attack on a fellow officer. As he tries to cope with his emotions, he finds himself in a dangerous situation when he confronts an armed suspect.

Through all the chaos and danger, the detectives of Hill Street Blues must work together to keep the city safe and bring justice to those who have been wronged. With their expertise and determination, they prove that even in the face of adversity, they are always ready to serve and protect.
