Marty and his team at Galweather & Stearn head to Amsterdam for a consulting job with a local bank. But things quickly become complicated when Marty's former employee, Jeannie, shows up unexpectedly. Jeannie left the firm to start her own consulting company, and she's there to pitch her services to the same bank.
Marty and Jeannie's rivalry plays out against the backdrop of Amsterdam's infamous Red Light District, where the team indulges in some debauchery as they try to win over the bank. Meanwhile, Marty's son, Roscoe, tries to navigate his new school and social life back in the States, with the help of his new friend Lex.
As the team pitches their strategy to the bank, Marty and Jeannie's animosity reaches a boiling point. Marty remains unimpressed with Jeannie's business, but she's not going down without a fight. The two engage in a heated dance-off at a local club, with the winner getting the contract with the bank.
But when Marty and Jeannie engage in a drinking contest just before their presentations, things go awry. Jeannie's behavior becomes erratic, and Marty has to step in to save the day. In the end, the team earns the bank's business, but Jeannie's actions leave her future with the firm in question.
Amsterdam showcases the cutthroat business world of consulting, where personal rivalries and vices can sometimes derail even the most well-planned pitches. Marty and Jeannie's clash highlights the pressure that consultants face to outdo one another in order to secure contracts and keep their firms afloat. The episode also touches on the challenges of balancing work and personal life, as Roscoe struggles to adjust to his new surroundings while his father is away.
