Ep 23. The Witches of East Arlen

Hank and the gang investigate their own beliefs in witchcraft when Bobby's history teacher asks the students to act out rituals for a pagan ceremony. Meanwhile, Peggy attempts to gain membership to the Arlen chapter of the Ladybird Johnson Beautification Society. Peggy's attempt to join the society is challenged by the group's leader, Carolyn, who is critical of Peggy's dedication to the environment. Peggy becomes obsessed with winning over Carolyn, leading her to neglect her duties at home and causing tension between her and Hank. As the community prepares for the pagan ritual, Hank and Bobby discover that Luanne has been practicing Wicca and worry about her becoming involved in the ceremony. In the end, the group decides not to participate in the ceremony, but Hank realizes the importance of respecting other people's beliefs. Meanwhile, Peggy is granted membership to the Beautification Society and learns the importance of standing up for her own values.
