In NCIS season 11 episode 23, titled The Admiral's Daughter, the team is tasked with investigating the disappearance of a Navy Lieutenant who happens to be the estranged daughter of an Admiral. As the team delves deeper into the case, they discover a shocking connection to a terrorist group and a potential threat to national security.

The episode begins with the team being summoned to the Pentagon, where they meet with Admiral Kendall (played by Jim Beaver), who informs them that his daughter, Rebecca, has gone missing. He explains that Rebecca had recently been involved with a man who was connected to a terrorist group, and he fears that she may have become a target. The Admiral is reluctant to involve NCIS at first, but ultimately realizes that they are the best chance he has of finding his daughter.

Gibbs and the team begin their investigation by looking into Rebecca's personal life, and they quickly discover that she had been involved in some shady business deals. Her last known location was at a hotel in Virginia, where she had checked in under a fake name. The team is able to track down the hotel room and find some interesting clues, including a burned laptop and a piece of paper with a strange symbol on it.

As they delve deeper into the case, the team discovers that Rebecca had been working with a man named Aziz, who is suspected of having ties to a terrorist group. They also learn that Rebecca had been trying to broker a deal between Aziz and an American businessman, and that the deal involved stolen military technology. The team starts to suspect that Aziz may have something to do with Rebecca's disappearance, but they struggle to find any concrete evidence.

Meanwhile, Bishop is dealing with some personal issues of her own. She has been avoiding her husband, Jake, ever since she found out that he had cheated on her. She confides in Tony, who encourages her to try and work things out with Jake. Bishop ultimately decides to confront Jake, and they have an emotional conversation about their marriage.

Back on the case, the team discovers that Aziz is planning to use the stolen military technology to launch a terrorist attack on American soil. They also find out that Rebecca had been working with another man, who they believe may have been trying to help her stop Aziz's plan. With this new information, the team is able to track down the location of Aziz's hideout.
