Emma and Regina team up with Maleficent to help find Lily and stop Cruella from carrying out her plan. As they search for Lily's whereabouts, Maleficent reveals her past with Cruella and how it led to a heartbreaking decision. Meanwhile, Mary Margaret and David continue to grapple with their feelings for each other and Hook tries to uncover the truth about Gold's past with Ursula. In flashbacks, we learn how Regina helped Maleficent to regain her strength after losing her child to Snow White and Prince Charming.
