Watch Pan Am

Pan Am is television series that follows the adventures of a team of flight attendants and pilots as they work for Pan American Airlines in the 1960s. Because the series was based upon the stories from an actual flight attendant at the airline during the time period being featured, the show has a certain amount of credibility. The show also had a certain amount of international appeal thanks to the several exotic locations where the stories took place and the colorful characters that made appearances.

Although the show lasted only one season, it managed to win several awards, including one of Unsung Show of the Year. The series had a historical feel due to the old time feel of the airliners and the wardrobe used by the cast. The show used a soap opera like storyline of romances, betrayal, and drama to put the adventures of the characters into the spotlight. Thanks to some colorful embellishments, the series manages to stay interesting and riveting while still staying true to the historical roots of aviation.

Is 'Pan Am' Next for Cancellation?

First "The Playboy Club" headed on down the bunny trail, now "Pan Am" is looking like it could be next. The highly anticipated ABC series was expected to do well even in a highly competitive time slot owned by Sunday Night football, and with an audience split by high quality Sunday night cable offerings, but has struggled in early ratings.
