Ep 3. Squeeze

In this episode of The X-Files, titled "Squeeze," Mulder and Scully investigate a series of gruesome murders in Baltimore. The victims are all found with their livers removed, and there seems to be no sign of forced entry or struggle. Meanwhile, Scully becomes increasingly interested in the case of Donnie Pfaster, a convicted killer who seems to have a connection to Tooms. Pfaster claims that Tooms is the only person who visited him in prison, and Scully begins to suspect that there may be more to their relationship than just a simple friendship.

As Mulder and Scully struggle to gather enough evidence to prove Tooms' guilt, they begin to realize just how dangerous he could be. Tooms seems to be able to retreat into hibernation for decades at a time, only waking up to feed on fresh human livers. With the help of some innovative investigation techniques and a bit of luck, Mulder and Scully are able to confront Tooms and bring him to justice - but not without putting their own lives on the line.

Overall, "Squeeze" is a masterfully crafted episode of The X-Files that showcases the show's ability to tell complex and intense stories. The tension is palpable throughout the episode, and the character development is excellent - particularly in the case of Scully, who is slowly starting to come around to Mulder's way of thinking. Fans of the show will definitely want to check out this early episode, which serves as a great introduction to the show's unique blend of sci-fi, horror, and police procedural.
