Ep 4. Conduit

Mulder and Scully travel to Iowa to investigate a case involving a teenage girl named Ruby Morris who has been abducted. Ruby's father believes that his daughter has been taken by extraterrestrial beings, citing her strange behavior and unexplained disappearances throughout her life. Mulder is immediately intrigued by the case and believes that Ruby may be a victim of alien abduction.

As they begin their investigation, Mulder and Scully interview Ruby's parents and learn more about her history of unexplained disappearances. They also speak with Ruby's brother, who claims to have witnessed strange lights in the sky on the night of Ruby's disappearance.

Mulder becomes convinced that Ruby's disappearance is related to her supposed ability to communicate with extraterrestrial beings. He discovers that she has been drawing detailed pictures of the night sky, which he believes may be coded messages from her abductors.

As they dig deeper into the case, Mulder and Scully encounter resistance from the local police and sheriff, who are hostile to their presence in the community. They also learn more about Ruby's troubled relationship with her father, who may have been abusive towards his daughter.

Mulder and Scully eventually discover that Ruby's disappearance is related to a government conspiracy involving the military and extraterrestrial life forms. With the help of a local expert in alien abduction cases, they uncover a hidden government facility where Ruby and other abductees are being held captive.

In a thrilling climax, Mulder and Scully must infiltrate the facility and rescue Ruby before she is subjected to dangerous experiments. They face opposition from armed guards and other obstacles, but ultimately succeed in their mission.

The episode ends with Ruby's safe return to her family, but with many unanswered questions about the government's involvement in alien abduction cases.
