Collateral Damage was a American action film starring Elias Koteas, Arnold Schwarzenegger, Francesca Neri, Cliff Curtis, John Leguizamo and John Turturro. Collateral Damage was released by Warner Brothers Pictures in 2002, produced by Hawk Koch and Nicholas Meyer and Directed by Andrew Davis; the film was written by Ronald Roose and David Griffiths. The plot of the film revolves around a sudden and horrific bombing which takes place in Colombian Consulate Building in Los Angeles. The bomb blast claims nine lives, two of which are the wife and son of LAPD firefighter Gordy Brewer (played by Arnold Schwarzenegger). In the aftermath of the attack the United States State Department receives a mysterious tape. On it a man wearing a masked and calling himself El Lobos (The Wolf) takes credit for the attacks and claims that he blew up the consulate as reparations for U.S. tyranny in Colombia. Once Gordy catches wind of the masked man he heads to Colombia for revenge to take out the killers and the fiendish El Lobos before they can strike again. Collateral Damage is rated R for strong language and violence and is recommended for mature audiences only.
