Let Joy Reign Supreme is a historical drama that was released in 2004. Following the death of Louie the XIV, the regent is in control of France. He is joined by a priest as his second in command. The two control France following the revolution, and soon find themselves living the opulent lives that were once reserved by the King. Meanwhile, the priest attempts to use the ongoing famine to take control of the Church. This act is over scored by elaborate descriptions of court life, which contrasts heavily with the revolution.
