Neo Ned

This bizarre but thought-provoking 2005 character study follows the life of a young man who has never felt like a part of society, following in the footsteps of his two-bit criminal father toward a life of petty crimes and general lack of any sort of moral compass. When Ned finds a strange sort of belonging in the Aryan Brotherhood, his racist views will create strife when chance circumstances find him connecting with a beautiful young African-American mentally troubled woman who believes her body contains the soul of Adolf Hitler.

The story may be rather unbelievable, but the film itself is worth watching for its stark portrayals of racial issues and the difficulties faced by the mentally ill. Parental discretion is strongly advised.
