Under Suspicion is a movie that focuses on the tense investigation of a murder in Puerto Rico. A powerful American attorney, Henry Hearst, is accused of the murder and is questioned by Detective Victor Benezet and his young partner Felix Owens. Days earlier, Hearst called the police about finding a 12-year-old girl’s dead body while he was walking his dog. Benezet does not believe Hearst’s story and is certain that Hearst is somehow involved in the murder or knows more than what he is admitting to them.

Owens grills Hearst while Benezet takes a gentler approach. As both officers begin questioning Hearst, his story begins to unravel. Hearst is able to convince the officers to let him go long enough to make an appearance at a fundraiser he had promised to attend.

While Hearst is gone, the police are questioning his wife whose name is Chantal. Hearst is unaware that his wife is being interrogated in his absence. Chantal and Henry have not been on the best of terms for quite awhile. Plus, she is not happy about her husband’s interest in her young niece. Through intense questioning, Benezet and Owens have to figure who is telling the truth and who is not.
