Ep 7. Pillow Talk

Sixteen season 3 episode 7 is titled "Pillow Talk". The episode features a sleepover party where the six teen friends are invited: Jen, Caitlin, Jonesy, Nikki, Jude, and Wyatt. Jonesy tries to be a sport and shares his own secret, which is that he trusts his pillow more than his mother. Everyone laughs at this reveal, but Wyatt's confession to putting on nude lipstick before going to bed for his chapped lips stuns the group and embarrasses him. However, things take a turn for the worse when Nikki shares an embarrassing secret regarding Caitlin, which sends her reeling.

Jude and Wyatt, both outsiders in the circle of friends, feel left out and bored at the sleepover. They decide to head to the mall to fill their free time, but their plan proves to be more eventful than they expect. The two boys run into an attractive sales assistant who mistakes them for a couple interested in purchasing a bed. They decide to purchase a bed on a whim just to see her again, but their attempted purchase goes wrong, and they get into a loud argument with the sales assistant, causing a ruckus in the store.

Meanwhile, back at the sleepover, tensions come to a head. The girls bicker and exchange accusations, with Caitlin in particular feeling ostracized. Jen tries to make amends, but Caitlin remains hurt and angry. Things finally settle down when Jonesy plays a soothing song and offers the girls warm milk to drink. The group then resolves to work through their issues and maintain their friendship.

The next day, Jude and Wyatt arrive back at the mall to return the troublesome bed. They are mortified to see the sales assistant again, and even more mortified to learn that the bed they purchased was a floor model. After an awkward conversation, the boys manage to return the bed and leave the store without any further mishaps.

Overall, "Pillow Talk" is a classic sleepover episode with a twist. The friends are pushed to their limits as they share secrets, revealing aspects of themselves that they may not be comfortable with. Despite the tension, however, the group shows that they value their friendship and are willing to work through their differences. For viewers, this episode offers a fun and lighthearted look at the ups and downs of teenage friendships and the importance of communication and forgiveness.
