Every year, the price of wild salmon increases. More and more fishermen are heading out in search of their hefty haul. Often that means heading to Alaska, whose schools of prized salmon race by year after year. Alaska Fish Wars feature the great migration of Pacific Ocean salmon, who battle hundreds of rivers and streams throughout Cook Inlet looking for a suitable place to spawn. Watch Captain Gavin Koehane, Captain Wes Humbyrd, Captain Dino Sutherland, and Captain Taylor Evenson as they attempt to claim their fair share of these great Alaskan salmon.

On Alaska Fish Wars, these captains only have a few short months to make their annual profits. In order to walk away with their prize of the Sockeye salmon run, they must first survive mechanical failures, state patrols, heavy tides, deadly weather, and their own personal failings. And while the prices continue to increase, so does their competition.

Will these honest fishermen win the day and bring back a small fortune to their loved ones? How many will pack up and head home before the day is done?
