Ep 1. Super Peace Busters

In the first episode of Anohana: The Flower We Saw That Day, titled Super Peace Busters, we are introduced to the main character, Jinta Yadomi. Jinta is a high school student who lives a reclusive life. He often spends his days playing video games alone in his room and avoiding contact with others. However, Jinta's life takes an unexpected turn when he starts seeing a ghostly figure of his childhood friend, Menma.

Menma was a playful and carefree girl who used to be a part of Jinta's friend group, which they called the Super Peace Busters. We are also introduced to Atsumu Matsuyuki, a serious and studious boy who used to be the mediator of the group. Atsumu is now in a prestigious school and has no interest in reconnecting with his former friends until Jinta calls him out of the blue.

Finally, we meet Chiriko Tsurumi, a quiet and introspective girl who used to be the brains of the group. Chiriko is hesitant to reconnect with her former friends, but she is persuaded by Naruko to help them find out why Jinta has been acting so strange lately.

As the episode progresses, we see Jinta slowly opening up to his friends and starting to come to terms with his past. He also starts to believe that Menma's ghostly figure may be real, and he begins to work towards granting her wish.

The first episode of Anohana: The Flower We Saw That Day is a poignant and emotional start to the story.
