During Episode 28 of Season 6 of Antiques Road Trip, antique experts Charles Hanson and Anita Manning travel around Northern Ireland in search of valuable antiquities. The episode begins with Charles and Anita setting off from the Ulster Folk and Transport Museum in Cultra, close to Belfast. Their mission is to scour the island of Ireland for rare and valuable treasures, making a profit on each one in order to beat their opponent in a bidding war at auction.

In their first stop, the duo visits the beautiful, bustling city of Belfast where they explore the Victorian-style St Georges Market. Built in the late 1800s, it is Northern Ireland's largest indoor market, housing over 300 traders selling a variety of items such as fresh produce, handmade crafts, and vintage goods. Charles and Anita dive into the market’s crowded stalls to find antiques which will sell at a higher price at auction. The pair rummage through various knick-knacks, delicate glass bowls, and vintage maps from around the country. However, it’s the unique selection of old pottery and hand-painted vases that steal their attention. Anita is particularly interested in two art deco vases that she believes are genuine and could fetch a decent price.

Next, the antique experts make their way to the bustling town of Larne. They visit the barn of newly retired auctioneer, Neal O’Reilly, where he boasts an extensive collection of antique goods including treasures from across Ireland and Britain. The challenge for the auctioneers is to find a rare piece of Irish pottery he hasn’t owned before. Neal takes them around his store's inventory; from intricate Victorian light fittings to a 17th-century oak cabinet hiding a charmingly quaint glass-domed garden. During their expedition, Charles finds a beautiful 17th-century Irish crucifix made of silver which, upon investigation, he discovers is a very rare piece and could fetch a lucrative sum. Anita, on the other hand, is drawn to a delicate and intricately designed ivory brooch from the mid-1850s.

As they travel into the Irish countryside, the duo comes across buildings and huts filled from the floor to the ceiling with antique goods. Charles and Anita’s next stop on the show is the Cornmill antique store in Kilrea, an Aladdin's cave of antique treasures. The store has a seemingly never-ending supply of old games, tools, and vintage suitcases. When they ask the kind shop owner where to find the rarest of antique antiques, he presents them with a hand-painted Irish dresser from the 1800s. The set with its vibrant colors and ornate designs is too difficult to resist, and the auctioneers know that it is statistically bound to get a decent bid.

The final stop on their journey takes Charles and Anita to the factory hub of Derry. Here, in an old red-brick building filled with history dating back to the 18th century, the auctioneers search for the most valuable antiques as they make one last effort to get ahead of their competition. They enter the workshop of master picture restorer Martin Kelly. Here they are astounded by the dynamic colors and intricacy of the painting of St. Patrick, in the style of the 17th-century artist, Godfrey Kneller. The painting had been badly damaged due to dampness, yet Mr. Kelly had successfully brought it back to its former glory with the utmost accuracy. The painting had been restored meticulously and is now worth thousands.

After traveling around Northern Ireland and exploring antiques from all over the country, Charles and Anita have finally assembled their collection of antique treasures in their cars, ready for auction. All that remains is to look forward to the auction, where they will put their finds up for sale and hope to secure a profitable victory over their opponent.

Overall, Episode 28 of Antiques Road Trip Season 6 is a thrilling journey through the countryside and cities of Northern Ireland as Charles Hanson and Anita Manning hunt for rare artifacts to sell at auction.
