Arrow Season 1 Episode 8 Vendetta

Oliver is having a hard time finding the next person on his list, so he decides to take a break from his vigilante duties and attend a Christmas party. During the party, Oliver meets Helena Bertinelli, the daughter of one of the most powerful mob bosses in the city. Helena is seeking revenge on her father for causing her fiancé's death, and she enlists Oliver's help.

Oliver and Helena begin working together to take down her father's organization, but Oliver quickly realizes that Helena has a very different approach to justice than he does. She is willing to use extreme violence and intimidation, while Oliver tries to stick to non-lethal methods. Despite their differences, Oliver can't help but be drawn to Helena, and they start a romantic relationship.

Meanwhile, Detective Lance continues his investigation into the Hood, and he becomes convinced that Oliver is the vigilante. He shares his suspicions with Laurel, who is in denial at first but eventually starts to suspect herself. This causes tension between the two as Laurel tries to convince her father to drop the investigation.

As Oliver and Helena get closer to taking down her father, they realize that he has a mole in his organization. They discover that the mole is none other than Detective Hilton, who has been feeding information to Helena's father in exchange for money. Oliver confronts Hilton and tells him that if he doesn't cooperate, he will reveal his secret to the entire police department.

In the final showdown, Oliver and Helena storm her father's stronghold and engage in a brutal fight with his henchmen. Helena is consumed by her rage and ends up killing her father, while Oliver tries to convince her to spare his life. In the aftermath, Helena realizes the consequences of her actions and decides to leave the city.

The episode ends with Oliver reflecting on his own methods of justice and the consequences of his actions. He takes down another name on his list, but he does it with a newfound sense of responsibility. He also continues his romantic relationship with Helena, despite their differing views on justice.
