Oliver Queen has come a long way from the reckless playboy he used to be, as the current Mayor of Star City, he also moonlights as the Green Arrow, a vigilante protecting his city from evil forces. Season 6 of Arrow has been a tumultuous ride, with conflicting ideologies and betrayals plaguing Oliver's life at every turn.

In episode 7, titled Thanksgiving, the show explores the theme of forgiveness, as a family rift threatens to spoil the festivities. Oliver's sister Thea, who has been absent from the last few episodes, makes a return and brings along her boyfriend, Roy Harper. While the Queen family is reunited, it is not a happy occasion as tensions simmer.

The episode opens up with a flashback from six years ago, with Oliver trying to reconnect with Thea after five years of being presumed dead. Thea is still hurt and resentful that he left her alone, and lashes out at him. The flashback sets the tone for a family reunion that is fraught with tension.

As expected, the Queen family Thanksgiving dinner is anything but peaceful. Thea and Oliver's mother, Moira Queen, is still absent, and the reason behind her disappearance is still a mystery. Oliver is approached by FBI Agent Samanda Watson, who is investigating his connection to the vigilante Green Arrow. Watson is relentless in her pursuit, and the tension between her and Oliver only adds to the family's tumultuous reunion.

Meanwhile, the villains of the season, Cayden James and his team, are back to their scheming ways. The team discovers that James is targeting a lawyer who helped put one of his associates, Anatoly, behind bars. James has a grudge against Oliver, and his plan involves hurting the Mayor by going after his allies.

Back at the Queen family dinner table, Thea and Oliver's relationship is tested when Thea reveals that she is planning to leave Star City to start a new life with Roy. Oliver is hurt at the thought of losing his sister again, and the two have a heartfelt conversation about forgiveness and letting go of the past. The scene is one of the highlights of the episode, as the show brings to light the idea of family, and what it means to forgive and move on.

In other parts of the episode, Curtis and Rene, who have been at odds with Oliver over his leadership, come together to help a man who is being framed for a crime he didn't commit. The scene is a reminder of the common goal they all share, to protect the citizens of Star City.

Towards the end of the episode, the tension between Oliver and Watson reaches its boiling point when the FBI agent reveals her suspicions about Oliver's vigilante activities to the press. The revelation puts Oliver in a difficult spot, as the press and the public start to question his double life as the Green Arrow.

Thanksgiving is an entertaining episode of Arrow that brings to the forefront the importance of family, forgiveness, and the consequences of one's past actions. With the show setting up a major conflict between Oliver and the FBI, it will be interesting to see how the rest of the season plays out. As always, the action-packed scenes, well-written dialogue, and nuanced performances by the cast make Thanksgiving a must-watch episode for Arrow fans.
