Ep 22. You Have Saved This City

Oliver Queen has spent the entirety of Arrow's seventh season attempting to take down his nemesis, Ricardo Diaz. In the penultimate episode, "You Have Saved This City," Oliver finally rallies his allies to take down Diaz once and for all.

The episode kicks off with Oliver, his wife Felicity, and their daughter Mia hopping through a portal to the future. There, they meet up with the older version of William (Oliver's son), as well as Dinah and Rene, who have been working with the resistance against Star City's dark future government. The team is looking for a new weapon to take down Diaz, and they believe it's located in a hidden Bratva base.

Back in the present, Oliver leads the charge to get Diaz to reveal the location of the base. With the help of police captain Dinah Drake and tech wizard Curtis, they finally get a lead. Meanwhile, in the future, the team successfully infiltrates the base and retrieves the weapon they've been searching for.

The two timelines begin to converge as Oliver and his team fight their way through Diaz's army to get to the weapon first. With Diaz hot on their heels, Oliver and the team get to the weapon just in time to activate it and pulverize Diaz's troops.

But Diaz is not so easy to take down. In a final showdown, Oliver and Diaz engage in a fierce hand-to-hand battle that brings them to the edge of a rooftop. Oliver manages to get the upper hand, but instead of killing Diaz, he spares his life, telling him he's not worth it. Diaz, furious, lunges at Oliver with a knife, but he's stopped by none other than Laurel Lance, who delivers a fatal blow.

As Oliver and his team regroup, they receive a message from the future. In a heart-wrenching final scene, it's revealed that Felicity has died, and that Oliver has been on a solo mission to prevent the dystopian future from coming to pass.

"You Have Saved This City" is an intense and action-packed episode that sets the stage for Arrow's series finale. With Oliver taking on the ultimate sacrifice to save his family and his city, fans are sure to be left on the edge of their seats until the very end.
