Astro Boy 1963 Season 3 Episode 17 Funnel to the Future

An earthquake raises a pair of mysterious twin mountain peaks, and Dr. Elefun, Astro Boy, and Astro Girl get whisked 60,000 years into the future. Once there they meet Mr. Meek, a robot who inherited the earth after human beings eliminated themselves 50,000 years earlier. Now, new creatures are gaining control. The Lokis, huge and vicious members of the animal kingdom, were ruling over the Oreads, weak-willed creatures of the vegetable kingdom. Astro Boy's bravery and insistence on justice inspires the Oreads to stand up and fight for their rights. Our heroes return to the present, the twin mountains disappear, and we are left to wonder if what they have witnessed will be, or only might be.
