Ep 7. A Formidable Team

Baki season 1 episode 7, "A Formidable Team," follows the aftermath of the intense fight between Baki and Retsu. Baki is still undergoing treatment for his injuries and is visited by his father, Yujiro Hanma, who expresses his disappointment in Baki's defeat. Meanwhile, a new fighter by the name of Kaioh Dorian arrives in Japan and announces his intention to challenge the strongest fighters in the country.

Baki's friend, Kozue, brings him a newspaper article detailing Dorian's arrival and he recognizes Dorian as a member of the Chinese martial arts prison gang, the Shinshinkai. Baki warns his mentor, Kureha Shinogi, about Dorian's strength and reputation as an infamous killer.

Kureha decides to investigate Dorian and enlists the help of two of his former students, Kaoru Hanayama and Goki Shibukawa. Hanayama is a burly yakuza boss with immense physical strength, while Shibukawa is a reclusive martial artist with a unique fighting style that incorporates pressure point attacks.

The trio discovers that Dorian is holding a secret fighting tournament in an abandoned hospital and decides to infiltrate it. They disguise themselves as participants and enter the tournament, where they face off against various fighters with different fighting styles.

Meanwhile, Baki continues his training and recovery with the help of his coach, Mitsunari Tokugawa. He is determined to become stronger and prove himself to his father.

As the tournament progresses, Hanayama and Shibukawa manage to make it to the final rounds, where they face Dorian and his top fighter, Jack Hammer. The fights are intense and brutal, with each fighter using their unique strengths and techniques to gain the upper hand.

Ultimately, Hanayama and Shibukawa manage to defeat Dorian and Jack, proving their worth as formidable fighters. As they leave the hospital, they encounter Baki and his team, who congratulate them on their victory.

The episode ends with Dorian vowing to return and seek revenge on the fighters who defeated him, setting the stage for future conflicts and battles.
