Ep 8. The Waiting Game

Lottery fever takes hold in the village when it is revealed that a winning ticket was sold at the village shop in Ballykissangel. When the winner does not come forward, neighbor turns against neighbor as everyone falls under suspicion. Father MacAnally is appalled at the outbreak of greed and materialism?not just from the villagers, but from his Church bosses, eager to get their hands on some of the money. Ambrose is sent on an undercover mission to a pub in Cilldargan. Much to his and everyone else?s surprise, he secures an arrest and is covered in glory, but not before the strain begins to tell on Niamh.
