Ep 10. Mi Casa, Su Casa Loma

Erica is feeling down in the dumps about her life, and she ends up wandering around Toronto before landing at a familiar locale: Casa Loma. There, she runs into Julianne, and the two women are soon reminiscing about their shared past. They commiserate over their current lack of romantic prospects and make a pact to try to find love by the end of the year.

Later, Erica gets a visit from Kai, who has some surprising news: he's decided to rebuild his life in Toronto, and he's moving back to be closer to her. Initially, Erica is thrilled, but she soon realizes that his decision makes her feel trapped, like she's confined by her past mistakes.

Meanwhile, Brent is dealing with some drama of his own. Sam calls him, saying that she's in trouble and needs his help. Brent is conflicted, as he's made a promise to not get involved with Sam's problems anymore. Eventually, though, he caves and goes to her rescue. However, when he gets there, he discovers that Sam's emergency is actually a ruse to get him to come running.

Back at Casa Loma, Julianne introduces Erica to a dashing young suitor named Zach. He's handsome, charming, and seems genuinely interested in getting to know Erica. Erica is thrilled, but as the night goes on, she begins to feel like Zach might be too good to be true.

At the end of the night, Erica returns home to find Kai waiting for her. This time, though, she's ready to face her fears and be honest with him. She tells him that she needs space to figure out her own life, and that she can't commit to anything right now. Kai is understanding, and they part on good terms.

As the episode wraps up, Erica reflects on the events of the night. She knows that she still has a lot of work to do on herself, but for the first time in a while, she feels hopeful about her future.
