Ep 4. Getting Schooled

After a dramatic opening sequence, Mary Jane is seated in front of a group of college students, taking part in a panel discussion about race and gender in America. However, things take a turn for the worse when one of the students accuses her of being a "sell-out" and pandering to the white corporate elite.

Feeling shaken, Mary Jane returns to her job at Great Day USA where she confronts her boss, who she suspects of leaking a story about her to a gossip magazine. With tensions running high and tempers flaring, Mary Jane finds herself locked in a heated exchange with her colleague, whose comments only serve to fuel her anger.

Meanwhile, Mary Jane's family is going through a crisis of its own, as her mother, Helen, suffers a back injury while trying to help her husband, Paul, with his new business venture. With both of her parents unable to work, Mary Jane is left to take care of the family and find a way to keep them afloat.

As all of these challenges mount up, Mary Jane struggles to keep her composure and stay focused on her goals. Yet even in the midst of chaos, she finds moments of clarity and inspiration, as she reflects on the role that race and gender play in her life and career.

In the end, Mary Jane learns valuable lessons about keeping her integrity, standing up for herself and her family, and fighting for the things that matter most. Through it all, she remains determined to succeed, even in the face of overwhelming obstacles and setbacks.
