On the Wild Ranger, Vern Adkinson and his team are making good progress, but they're dealt a blow when their trusty excavator breaks down. Vern is forced to bring in a replacement operator who isn't familiar with the machine, causing delays and frustration.
Newcomers to the Bering Sea, the Kelly family, are proving to be fierce competition for the seasoned miners. With their unique machine called the "Machine Gun Kelly", they're able to process more dirt in a shorter amount of time than anyone else. The other crews can't help but be impressed, but they're also feeling the pressure to step up their game.
As the season enters its final stretch, every team is pushing harder than ever to find the elusive gold that will make or break their season. The risks are high, but the rewards could be life-changing.
