In Bering Sea Gold season 14 episode 4, titled "Dive Till You Drop," the crew of the various dredging boats in Nome, Alaska are in their final push to find as much gold as possible before the winter freeze sets in. The pressure is high, as each boat tries to edge out the others to claim the top spot in the gold haul for the season.
The episode begins with the Pomrenke family of the Christine Rose dredge making some major changes to their operation, hoping to increase their efficiency and output. Meanwhile, the crew of the Myrtle Irene are dealing with mechanical issues that threaten to bring their season to a grinding halt. They scramble to make repairs before it's too late.
On the Eroica, captain Emily Riedel and her team are feeling the pressure to perform after a slow start to the season. They're taking risks and pushing themselves to the limit in order to catch up to the other boats and secure a good standing in the gold count.
Over on the Reaper, captain Kris Kelly is dealing with a major setback. One of his divers has been injured, and he's left short-handed as a result. He has to quickly reconfigure his dive team and strategy in order to compensate for the loss.
As the season begins to wind down and the temperatures drop, the crews are putting in longer hours and more dangerous dives in order to make the most of the time they have left. "Dive Till You Drop" takes viewers on a thrilling ride as we watch these determined dredging crews battle it out for gold in the treacherous waters of the Bering Sea.
