Ep 2. Ultramarine

Beyond the Boundary is a fantasy action anime that takes place in a world where supernatural creatures called Youmu wander throughout society. There are some people, however, who have unique abilities that allow them to fight and defeat Youmu. The series follows the story of a high school student named Akihito Kanbara who has the ability to regenerate himself and a half-human, half-Youmu girl named Mirai Kuriyama who is a Spirit World Warrior tasked with hunting down and killing Youmu.

In episode 2, entitled Ultramarine, Akihito and Mirai are still getting to know each other after their chance encounter in episode 1. Mirai is still a bit hesitant to open up to Akihito, but she reluctantly agrees to go on a mission with him to hunt down a dangerous Youmu. The Youmu in question is said to be one of the most powerful and elusive creatures in the area, and the reward for its capture is quite significant.

As Akihito and Mirai begin their search for the Youmu, they encounter a group of other Spirit World Warriors who are also on the hunt. The other warriors are a bit wary of Akihito, as he is part Youmu and therefore considered to be a bit of an anomaly. One of the warriors named Mitsuki Nase takes a particular interest in Akihito, as she seems to know a bit more about his condition than she is letting on.

As the group continues their search for the Ultramarine Youmu, they encounter a number of other Youmu along the way. Mirai proves herself to be a skilled fighter, able to take down the creatures with ease using her trusty sword. Akihito also proves to be of great help, thanks to his regenerative abilities. However, as the Youmu they are searching for continues to elude them, tensions amongst the group begin to rise.

As the group takes a break to rest and regroup, Mitsuki reveals a bit more about Akihito's condition. She explains that there are rumors that Akihito may be immortal, which would make him an extremely valuable asset to the Spirit World Warriors. Akihito seems surprised by this revelation, as he had never considered the possibility before.

Just as the group is about to resume their search, they are suddenly attacked by the Ultramarine Youmu. The creature is unlike anything they have ever encountered before, with a strength and speed that far surpasses that of any other Youmu. The Spirit World Warriors are no match for the creature, and it seems as though they are all about to be defeated.

However, Mirai refuses to give up. She knows that she must be the one to defeat the Ultramarine Youmu, and she unleashes a powerful attack that sends the creature flying. In the end, Mirai is able to capture the Youmu and claim the reward, much to the surprise and admiration of the other Spirit World Warriors.

Overall, episode 2 of Beyond the Boundary is an exciting and action-packed installment in the series. As the characters continue to develop and the plot thickens, viewers are left on the edge of their seats wondering what will happen next.
